This has pissed me off for ages now.
This has pissed me off for ages now.
This is definitely sorely needed.
I'm an adult with kids. I want their recommended feed to be relative to them and mine to me.
It's ok with Disney+ and Netflix as they have profiles as a workaround . But with me and my partner watching content unsuitable for a young children it'd be great if the home screens could show us things relative to our likes and the kids relative their theirs.
Currently you cannot even sign into a child profile/account using YouTube either. So I don't even bother signing in at all as I don't want my own YouTube feed being clogged up with Minecraft videos and they don't want Linus Tech Tips on theirs.
Android TV needs to replicate the user profile selection of Netflix and Disney for the whole OS, preferably with PIN login as an option.
Multiple login accounts?
Edit: understood now. Multiple profiles like Netflix.
I thought family members can already add their own Google accounts into Android TV.
This is a thing. Just sign in with the different accounts. Google will recognize the different voice if speaking or you can click on the user while in the different apps.
My wife and I have it setup like that. Works fine
Give it a few years.
Never
Why can't each member just sign unto their own ytube account.
Android TV has a restricted account feature where you can login into all apps again with different accounts. That feature could be slightly modified and could be turned into the Multiple User Support easily. Not sure what's stopping them to do that.
As of right now I hated it because of that
What Linux which android is based in is a multi user system by design yet google tv can't support multiple users.
What's even the point of that?
You mean for 3 months?
