Hello. The Chrome browser on my laptop does not detect my Chromecast with Google TV for casting. They are both on the same Wifi network. But the Youtube and the Netflix app on my phone detects and casts fine. Also, the browser detects the Roku on my TV though. Any thoughts?
Reboot both devices. I can't remember which is usually the cause, but a reboot always solves the issue for me.
If your like me, you may have more than one wireless network (I have one from the Fios Modem, one from google mesh network). Make sure both devices are on the same wireless network.
Bluetooth on?
Same problem here. My tv is wired and phone is wifi, works great. Laptop with chrome, not.
Reboot Chromecast. I had the same issue.
If rebooting doesn't work, delete updates for chromecast app in google play
