I have Philips 4K UHD LED Android TV and on netflix almost all the movies are cropped with black from upper/lower side. How to stretch it to full screen?
Most of the TVs do not support the aspect ratio change on Android/smart TV interface. It's only limited to HDMI sources. You can check by using the format option the remote. The movies are made in wide screen format, thus the black bars for fitting them into 16:9 aspect ratio of the TV.
You can't and I think it's better. It would look bad
I need that too cuz of Phillip's Ambilight. It doesnt make sense using that function with the black bars up and down :/ if anyone knows a way around it please post it here.
So you better watch content stretched and out of proportions than with black bars and the way it should look? Okay
