Trying to use a sideloaded app, it appears misaligned and off-screen. Anyway to fix this?

Just got an android tv today, I'm trying out sideloaded apps and such. I loaded the PlayStation App onto my TV and it appears to be confused on where to display it. Half the screen becomes black with the left side becoming distorted and stretched. Im sure this is because this app wasn't meant for a TV, but are there any remedies for something like this? I figured I would ask before I give up.

TV is Sony X900H

I believe this app is only intended for phones. Typically some apps designed like this are not meant for landscape mode. I thought there was a way of forcing this but I cannot think of it off the top of my head

Try this app. Open it and set to Landscape. It works on fire TV and shield, so should work on androidTV
