Android TV 10 new google hardware, apps access no longer available?

To make a long story short.
I own Android tv for over 8 years and very familiar with it.
Ordered the new google device to check it out.
few things I've noticed:

  1. Live channels (beta), HD Silicondust as source. you can download the app and set it up but cannot add it to the apps shortcuts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  2. Google Play movies and TV: we have subscription for latest The Simpsons season, we also have Disney+. when going to library the library shows the correct shows I'm subscribed to but not the latest season. it actually forces me to watch the Simpsons on Disney+
    The only way to access the "old" google movies app is via the google store (also hard to access) and force open it from there.

anyone knows is there away to force these apps in the shortcuts (ATV os 10)?

Voice commands. I find that to be the easiest way to launch apps that install but don't show up in the Apps tab or shortcuts.

Have you tried putting the Simpsons on your watch list from Google Play. Search for The Simpsons. It may try and send you to YouTube but back out of that. I see 6 ways to watch Google TV is one of them. When I put it on my watch list Google TV comes up instead of D+. You can also search for The Simpsons on Google TV.

It would be so nice to have access to the ways to watch sub menu. Do things like pick the default way to watch, add additional players like plex, kodi or mxplayer. Please Santa I'm been "mostly"good.
