How to add multiple accounts on YouTube app Android TV?

Hi,

We recently bought Sony OLED A8H TV. This is the first time we are using android tv.

My husband used his gmail account to setup the tv. His account shows up on YouTube. I am trying to add my YouTube account to the app on the TV but unable to see an option. Can someone help with this?

Try installing SmartTubeNext it handles multiple accounts, and bonus it blocks ads.

They changed this within the last couple weeks. You used to be able to. I think the only way to log in with your own account is to add yourself to the accounts on the main Google TV menu.

Add your Google account to the TV. Go into the YouTube app, select your husband's account then hit sign out. Select the greyed out account pic, log in, select your Google account.
