When you stream from phone it just sends YouTube link to your android tv cast so google still pushes ads. You have to use app running on tv. I suggest below app. As others suggested you can use smarttubenext but it's beta and still not complete.
Install the smart youtube tv app. No ads and they update it frequently.
You uninstall youtube. Instsll ytvance.
Look up sideloading apps for your device

After installing YouTube vanced, you can disable the YouTube app.
