I've had two Xiaomi Mi Box 3's for a few years now, but recently been getting glitchy. Decided to replace them this week with two Nvidia Shield Pro's.
I know the Nvidia's come highly recommended, but was wondering if I'll see a notable difference in performance (I mainly use IPTV through Tivimate)?
Anyone got any tips etc for when they arrive next week?

If you game, yes. GeForce NOW runs like total ass on the Mi box. It's night and day.
I pretty much have the same use case as yourself and it is better. Don't notice a huge difference in tivimate but the ai upscaling is noticeable. Also, other apps are way faster, e. g. YouTube, kodi, etc.
Yea it’s better and yes you’ll see a difference. And it up scales as well
If you have 1080p tv's then you won't see any difference.
The shield only shines over the first gen Mi Box when you have 4k HDR content.
Might a well have got a cheap chinese box...
Well it is way faster, but if only thing you are using is tivimate, im not sure if you gonna notice any difference. Im using tivimate on backup setup with mi box 3 and it runs just as good as on shield.
