Dynalink TV Box Review: Looks like this one has DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X passtrough but not Dolby TrueHD or Atmos inside TrueHD according to the video.

I just got mine today, and, after close inspection noticed it is MADE IN TAIWAN, a very welcome surprise.

The manufacturer's chat bot:

Q: Can I purchase this product outside of the United States? This message didn't send.

A: Hi, thanks for contacting us. Currently only sold in the United States, but we have plans to launch internationally next year. Please keep following us :)

It also appears to support the Dolby Digital Plus to Dolby Digital conversion when using "Auto" in audio settings while the device is connected to a TV or AVR with only Dolby Digital decoding.

What's the cpu and memory specs?

So I've had four of these for a few days and have liked them overall - more than the new Google TV as I prefer the straight Android TV interface. But I've run into a few quirks. When I have CEC turned on, the device wants to go to sleep when it's HDMI input is not selected on the TV. Thats a problem since I want to be able to use Google Assistant with the remotes at any time. I had to turn CEC off.

The second thing is poor Bluetooth performance. I've paired a headset and a speaker on two different boxes and both of them hitch and cut out. This is almost a deal killer for me, but I've already gone all in on these things and mothballed my Rokus. So I don't have reliable bluetooth and I can't use CEC the way I want to.

On the plus side, they're very quick to load video. For the money they're a slight improvement on my Rokus in that I get Google Assistant on my TVs.

Oh, and I've already dropped a remote and nearly busted it.

I just got this in to test. Performance is similar to my Fire tv 4k. 3dmark slingshot scores were (Overall/Graphics/GFX1/GFX2/Physics Score/PHY1/PHY2/PHY3) 571/499/3.3/1.6/1150/27.0/12.0/5.8. Tried running the Wildlife test, but either got a big fat 0 or it would lock up the device.

1 thing I noticed was, CEC worked differently than my Fire TV. On my Fire TV, power would turn my tv on/off. volume would control my tv volume. On the Dynalink power would turn my TV on (if off), but pressing it again would not turn my TV off (just sleep the device). volume controlled the device volume, not my TV volume. That would be a deal breaker for me as a daily device.

This is a great little device. It may take over for my htpc but time will tell. I need to get a hub for it at the very least as I'd like to expand storage and have ethernet. Anyone successfully remap the Netflix button?

I've had this box for a little over a day now and this little thing is a beast...Ive only been running tivimate. Plan to get a Thumb drive and add storage. I had a micro center 3.0 drive and it didn't like it so I got a SanDisk coming ( we shall see if it likes that one) Controlling the TV would be nice but not a big deal to me.

Has anyone been able to access Android's "Recent Apps" menu and/or figured out a way to shut down background apps?

I cannot find HDMI CEC in device settings unlike Mi box. Anyone know where this setting is located?

Sadly along with the TiVo Stream 4K this Dynalink has no way of turning OFF - HDR video output, so people are ending up color output problems:
