Chromecast Google TV CONSTANT freezing up

On our main tv, the Chromecast Google TV keeps freezing, and the picture quality can be horrible. Watching the "Stats for Nerds" connection speed - can go from over 80,000 Kbps to 300. Insane.

We have Google Mesh wi-fi and the TV and dongle are within 20' of TWO different routers. The wi-fi is attached to a very stable 300 Mbps fiber optic cable.

Just about had it with this terrible quality. By the way, this is the second dongle I have installed on this TV - the first one was replaced under warranty.

I had a problem with mine until I bought the ethernet adapter now it works perfectly no freezing And I too have the Google mesh system

I've posted this is so many places, but I'll summarize again here: 2 RMAs, 8 emails, and 3 phone calls (Two with Google, one with Apple) and zero resolution to the issue of freeze+reboot every 15 minutes when watching high bitrate 4k content like movies from the AppleTV app within the Google TV ecosystem. This is in addition to the irreducibly slow response latency from button presses on the remote. I even bought a specially fitted heatsink for it, and nothing worked. Nothing *will* work. I'm now saving up for a real AppleTV hardware unit as YouTube plays and looks great on it and keeping voice search isn't worth being frustrated inside the Google interface. It's verified trash, and if anyone would know at this point, I would.

I have one and dislike it so much.

They put out a product with pastel colors and I'm not surprised it acts like a toy.
