"Send files to TV" app doesn't recognize Xiaomi Mi Box S from an unknown reason.
i use. xplore file manager from tv playstore. click wifi server(wifi icon), look for i.p address (192.168...) at "Wifi file sharing". done. open ip address on your phone browser, upload ur files (click upload). done. file transfered.
Bluetooth maybe, but it's slow.
Can you not plug your phone directly into the player?
For file transfer, there is a file sharing option in the file commander application and you can try it very practically. It gives you an address that starts with 192.168. You can either enter the internet browser on the phone or pc, you can transfer the file.
Sideload Google Files (old Files Go) app and use the proximity share option. Or sideload Google Drive, and download your the files from it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.sisik.hackendebug Bugjaeger is perfect for this. It allows you to adb from your phone to any Android device. You can then push a file to it. This is the easiest I've found.
I have Mixplorer installed on my Mibox, and it works wonderfully. I have it set to open a tab with a DropBox "APK" folder by default (and a second tab to open the "Download" folder on the Mibox) when it opens.
I just save whatever file to my Dropbox (from phone, tablet, laptop), and go from there. Takes a couple minutes to setup, but it's simple to use. The nice thing (for my usage) is that often I'll use the same file on my other devices, so I'll already find it ready to use on those too.
I use easy fire tools and es file explorer is still a good option
I use X-plore file manager on my TV and phone and it has WiFi file sharing.
Once you Click About > “Build” in Android Settings 7 times or more Developer options are then revealed in settings...
Go into Developer options and enable USB debugging...
Go into Network Setting and note down your Android devices IP address...
Install the following ADBlinker App on PC/Mac:
Plug in IP address of Android device into AD Hoc Box, hit Connect.

In ADBlinker, use File Manager or Install APK button.
I usually:
The hotspot part isn't really needed, but if you want to copy big files it will save quite some time.
