I have a Hisense AndroidTV that has a broken screen. Everything else still works, however. Is it possible to install the motherboard onto a different monitor/television so I can make a dumb TV smart? I know it's overkill and I could just get a new CC, however I wanted to see if this was possible first.
I can't imagine a scenario where this is in anyway possible unless you're an electronics genius. Even if it was possible, it's clearly much easier/cheaper to just buy the new Chromecast/Google TV puck and plug it into your dumb tv.
It's probably "possible" depending on how TV motherboards handle the video-stream, but it is genuinely something that would take an immense amount of knowledge, cost a lot of money, people-hours and probably very very specialised equipment. It's so impractical it should be considered impossible.
Sounds like you need a TV repairman sub. Lol.
