I guess nobody at Google thought about someone changing their Google account email address. My account is so old, I never had a Gmail address, and changed the primary mail address to another.

and also I changed my password to a new one, because I do that now and then and thought why not today.

Now when I started the Chromecast with Android TV, I was greeted with a message that I need to login again. OK, I expected that.

So I click continue and there is a text field with my old primary address. I click on the remote to enter that field, but I can't. I can only continue, but than it throws an error that this account does not exist.

I restarted the device a few times, tried to go into the settings and add the account manually new, tried the speak assistant, but nothing helped.

The "your Google account is locked" dialogue gets pushed to the top over anything else, even settings.

Long story short, I factory reset it and it works now...

Great login to all accounts again, pair the remote to the TV and speaker again, I love it.

Maybe I missed something but I just wanted to stream a show, so I didn't feel like troubleshooting.
