It tells me lies. Tells me sweet little lies.

[false]( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_and_false_(commands) ) has been a command in Unix/Linux/etc. for decades. Doesn't do anything except exit, with an exit code indicating a failure.

Sounds pointless, but it has uses in scripting and some use it to effectively prevent an account from logging into a system.

Can't be certain that's what this app is without further research, but the small filesize fits.

A quick google indicates that an apk with a package name that looks like android.autoinstalls.config.* is responsible for setting up applications following initial box / device setup. No idea why it's name is "false", you'd have to ask the device manufacturer.

It's a shortcut to Trump's tweets.

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

Anything with the android.autoinstalls are usually responsible for the configuration of apps the first time device is booted. Why it is named false I do not know.

mr6white

It's the impostor.

That 'system' app doesn't exist on the CGTV, Mi Box 3 or 2017 Shield Pro, what box are you using?

I own & checked all 3 & it's not there..?

Are you running any pirate streaming apps that could've installed a renamed/spoofed app into your device?

The app is probably missing an attribute. Its out of date or poor programming. Either way you should remove it
