I find it odd the fox app doesn’t let you watch 4K football without a roku or firestick. Is there any work around to watch NFL in 4k without those devices?

Fox simply doesn't support 4K on Android TV, this kind of thing goes on all time between devices and apps and their features. Right now several servcies, Vudu, Movies Anywhere, Fandango Now don't support 4K on the device.
