Should i buy the new Chromecast?

by bebop_korsakoff

I just purchased a Samsung TV (an entry level model of 2020), with his smart Os and support to casting and Google assistant. Do I still need the new Chromecast with Google TV? The old Chromecast I had is now useless, and with the new one not having Stadia support yet I don't see the point. I like Google UI but I don't think it's enough to have one, considering in Italy it's also much more expensive than in USA. Am I missing something?

Usually people buy third party accessories if the TV's they have aren't smart, they don't like the UI their TV has, it's missing services, or it's slow. If your TV does everything you want it to do, and you like how it does it, then no, you shouldn't buy another accessory.

If you don't like your TV's UI, you think it's too slow, it's missing a service you'd like to have...etc, then by all means go buy a new Chromecast.

This is entirely subjective and your decision.

It can run Kodi, Steam Link and Parsec. A game changer for me. Other than that it's very similar to the built in smart features of my TV.

GoogleTV opens up a world of apps that your Sammy won't have access to. It really depends on whether there are Android TV apps out there that are meaningful to you. Being able to run apps like TinyCam makes Android TV superior, for me.

For Android TV is the second best choice after Nvidia Shield.
