  • It's the new name for Google Play Movies and TV, an on demand service.
  • It's the brand name new Android TV devices will be sold under in the future. But the OS is still called Android TV.
  • It's not a device. The device is a Chromecast with Google TV.
  • It's a home screen that will be pushed to existing Android TV devices and you can sideload now.
  • It's Google being confusing with branding because they get off on that or something, idk.

It's the result of Google's obsession with rebranding/renaming things.

It needs urgently a shrink.

It's a life style.

It's an online video on demand service (and now aggregator) that is a rebrand of Google Play Movies and TV .

Like many services, it exists in multiple implementations: a mobile app, a website (rebrand in progress), and (more uniquely) an interface on top of Android TV, soon to be mandatory for new Android TV devices. (Android TV will probably live on indefinitely with Android. There will be Android TV 10, 11, 12, etc. but only Google TV).

It is not a device such as Chromecast with Google TV.
