live tv has been supported since launch of android tv, live channels along with hdhomerun or iptv etc..
Huh? I'm using live TV feature on my years old mibox 3 for ages. No it's not device or region dependant.
My Android TV has live TV
I think live TV in the new chromecast with Google tv is only YouTube tv. It doesn't seem to have over the air live TV. Traditionally android tv has had the usual over the air live TV for a while so it's a shame it seems they have removed it.
So will android tv ever get live TV... Well yes over the air has been available for a while on android tv, just it seems it's only YouTube tv on the new google tv device and only for those in the states.. But I'm will waitinf for mine as Australia are about 2 weeks behind.. Although removing live TV using my hdhomerun could mean my android tv 9 devices are not getting replaced as I had hoped they would be.
Idc what they add I just don't want them to have a cluttered home screen (fire tvs interface is absolute garbage)
Garbage blog spam
Don't the Mi Box s, already have the live feature. the come a dedicated live button on the remote.
You can get the old Android TV - Live Channels working on the new Google TV, see here:
So Amazon fire tv got it's live tab in US almost a year ago and today they have launched the same tab in india.
Will android TV ever get to a place where all this is possible?
This should be categorized as a blog/question specific to India. ATV has supported Live TV for years: https://support.google.com/androidtv/answer/6285282?hl=en
The fact that it's not supported in all countries is an issue, but everyone's confused by this post because lots of us are currently enjoying Live TV on our devices today.
