Play Store in a web browser leme install the OG leanback launcher on it, but I not done anything to try to make it the default. I presume ADB should get it going.
Give me the old, old launcher from the Nexus Player. Before channels, the one that would overlay Live Channels when you pressed the home button.
I like the new aesthetics but I want to incorporate my channels from old launcher to the new.
Many apps like ARTE (documentaries politics), Spotify, Haystack (News & entertainment), Play Movies, SKY, NBA (scores and top plays), Red bull, Geforce Now and Netflix have great channels.
They were really customizable now all gone.
Life isn't only movies and shows.

I want to do the same thing when my Chromecast arrives in the mail.

What's Next watchlist was first in the rows of old launcher. Now is far away to the right.

Then I guess you will need to disable the old launcher and enable this one the same way people was doing it the other way around with adb
Hmm. No experience with the new one but the Android TV launcher makes me want to rage. It's a big, evil tease. Shows you this stuff to watch but it refreshes before you can get to it so you lose it. Bastards.

I got my new Chromecast w/ Google TV already. I tried to sideload the original android tv launcher and then run the activity but it didn't work.
I reckon I will return it as I just bought it to play with it since I got a Shield TV Pro 2019. The fact that we have to stick to the Google TV launcher is a bit annoying to me.
Anyone got this done? I'm searching all over the web to find a way to put on the Android TV launcher, but no luck :(

From what google said so far it seemed that the launcher is the key feature of the new chromecast
And i thought i was the only one who wasnt really excited for the new UI. I just like the current ATV UI its to the point... The new Google TV just look like a colorful firestick UI with those huge as menus
