my ps4 controller connected to my tcl 40" android tv via bluetooth is super laggy, is this common?

was trying to play stadia with my ps4 controller connected via Bluetooth and the latency is about 1 second late, maybe more. unplayable. wired tho its good enough to play with no problem. i would like to know if this is common even with the more expensive android tv models or if this is the trade of of buyin a cheap android tv?

I remember this being an issue with the V1 controller. The V2 (CUH-ZCT2, with the light bar on top) works fine for me. I’ve got one of each, but the V1 is pretty well unusable wirelessly on my TCL.

Yes, it's a common issue that was fixed in a recent Android version (9 or 10 I think). I have to use a wired connection on my Philips Android TV, I was holding off replacing it with a newer TCL until they reached Android 10.

You can also fix the problem if you have root access.

What version of Android is your TV running?

I have a DualShock 4 V2 and a Xiaomi Mi TV Stick, i could play on both Stadia and GeForce Now with a "Generic" Gamepad: a Terios T-3. And i was unable to connect my PS4 controller via Wired Mode (Bluetooth Only, it was a Streaming Stick), and i tried to connect my Android TV via USB OTG to a 4-Port USB Adapter, and the adapter to a Universal Charger, set the Voltage Level up to 9 and my Xiaomi Mi TV Stick...
