Frndly TV for Android TV/GoogleTV

If anyone has been looking for a Frndly TV app for your new Chromecast with GoogleTV, there isn't one. I've looked into downloading an APK with limited success.

So I talked to a customer service person at Frndly TV and apparently they currently don't have plans for an Android TV/GoogleTV app. She said if they received enough feedback they could change that plan. I suggested that with the release of the new Chromecast with GoogleTV there may be more people wanting the app.

She said to email this address support@frndlytv.com and make the request. So have at it, maybe we can make it happen.

I've been bugging them for 6-8 months for an AndroidTV version. And also ability to record only new shows... same boilerplate answer you got.

Thanks, I'll email them. I'd love to have them integrate with the Live tab on the new Chromecast so I can add their channels with YTTV channels in same guide. I love how Frndly integrates Curiosity Stream like a live channel.

I know this thread is about 4 months hold, but this page on the FrndlyTV helpdesk has been updated to say that an Android app should be available by the end of March.

Frndly TV is currently available on multiple platforms, including  streaming devices, computer browsers, mobile devices, tablets, and more. If you use Android TV to view your streaming services, you can look forward to our Android TV app releasing near the end of March!
