I have a little bit of credit in my Google play account, and wondered if there are any suggestions as to the best non-free Apps on Android TV that I should get? Not looking for games, but free apps with unlockable features (one time only payments) I'm also keen to hear about. Thanks!
Well sideload channel launcher was one, it allowed you to make your own custom recommendation rows, but not sure if it can or will be updated to work with Google TV Launcher - so take that caveat in mind if you want to buy it to use now.

You can use it as its own launcher too, but I don't use it for that, only for adding custom recommendation rows/channels to default Android TV Launcher
TiViMate premium if you play IPTV. FX Explorer is nice too.
I haven't used it on the new CC yet but I'm sure Button Mapper will work. It works on your Android phone too. It does so much I'm not even going to try to describe it.
Solid explorer and hue essentials are two I like
