Verizon recently released an Android TV box, basically a stock box but with a verizon app for TV streaming that is optimized for Android TV. From what I understand of the mobile Verizon Fios TV app for android, it is terrible when sideloaded for Android TV.
Is it possible someone could extract the Android TV optimized verizon APK from the Verizon box, and release it so other Android TV devices can sideload and use it?
If the app is available on Fire TV devices you can sideload the Fire TV version onto an Android TV device and in most cases they work just fine. I know several people that do this with AT&T TV Now. They just sideload the Fire TV version of the AT&T TV app onto an Android TV device and it works.
