I received it as a promotion, and it seems like Android TV inside a Verizon branded box. Anyone use one? Its hard to find much info on it. I'm used to stock experiences (Pixel 2 as my phone) so I was wondering if anyone was aware of any differences?
For example, if I side load an app, or decide to stream something through the Chromecast - does is that all data that Verizon gets, or does that somehow stay with Google if anything at all.
I did get the Nielsen message, can't opt out Afaik.
You can find some technical info and articles here (that's my website).

So the experience is mostly stock, only a few apps can't be removed from the apps row and there is a Verizon Channel on the menu that can't be removed too.
I'm not sure I understand your second question. What you consume on the box is linked to your ISP data cap.
The specs are more or less the same as the new Google Chromecast coming in a few days. Same RAM, storage and SoC.
