I have two Nvidia Shields and two Ematic Jetstream. I noticed after the last update for the Ematic Jetstream boxes I can no longer wake up the devices to cast something to them after they have been asleep for a bit. Has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution? At first, I thought it was a Wifi issue but my shields work fine and can be woken up at any time to cast. I also checked the Jetstream Wifi settings to see if there was an option to keep Wifi On at all times but did not see such an option.
I also did a factory reset on one of the boxes to test and see if that would help but the issue continues.
It's an issue plaguing every single Android TV device where OEMs didn't implement a Wake on LAN or Keep WiFi turned ON or something similar, I also have an Ematic Jetstream and it is the same.
I you want, you can add a comment about your experience at this Google Issue Tracker bug report that Google closed saying it was an intended behavior they were working on, but that was three years ago, but we can put some pressure so they can get their act together and fix this for good.
