I have recently bought a Xiaomi tv stick. I installed the Plex application but streaming movies is super slow, not working properly...
But when I stream using my phone and cast it to the TV stick. It works fine...
Network shouldn't be the issue because casting and other apps works fine, but the Plex app itself doesn't work...
Any ideas?
EDIT: Reinstalling PLEX app solved the issue. Now working perfect!
That is an issue you should report directly to Plex forums, since that's a new device, the app is still NOT optimized for it, believe it or not.
If you are talking about the Plex android app, take a look on settings, look the sound passthrough, change to HDMI, coax, disabled and see if it helps on a better playback of your streaming.
So... Someone advised me to reinstall the PLEX app.. and after that.. it works perfectly 😅.I am actually happy with the TV stick.. it works fine for my bedroom, and have all apps required installed. Now that PLEX works fine, it's a Powermaschine for me.. thanks for helping me in the correct way!

Return stick and buy mibox. Or Use it as Chromecast which in my opinion this device is build for.
