im planning to buy Mi TV Stick, however, i checked the spec anywhere, it doesnt mention anything about the presence of the USB ports, or do i missed something? afaik, the remote provided only have basic navigation button, no full qwerty key.
the reason i need usb keyboard (wireless) is the ease of typing the search terms, or dial the channel number for my IPTV apps directly instead of scrolling through the channel list.
does apk side load works too? ive been wonder about that too.

you can use Android TV Remote app for android phone. It has keyboard imput and voice imput method. AFAIK Mi Stick support OTG, so if you find a OTG + power cable you coud use any usb devices.
I also have one, and for what was intended an builded, its perfect. I really dont have anything bad words for him. Id does what it say it does, and work as it shoud. Just dont power it from TV USB port. Many users make this mistake...

You need a bluetooth keyboard.
install Xplore App from built in Play Store.
That App has a built in WiFi server that can be used to transfer Apps, data etc. from any webbrowser on any networked PC / Mac to the Mi Stick Downloads folder:
What possible reason is there to buy a Mi TV Stick? Maybe if it's $20 or something, but Amazon has it for $50 .
I'd consider the Fire TV Stick 4K for $25 over the Mi TV Stick at any price. If you can't wait for the $50-60 Google Sabrina, at least look at the buggy-as-hell TiVo Stream 4K for $50.
I mean, really. even the old-as-balls Mi Box S for $50 is a better purchase.

Get mi box it has an extra port and extra gig of ram amd supports 4k what else can u expect u can sideload apk too.
It doesn't support USB devices, but it definetly supports (wireless) sideloading.
