Hi everyone, I am about to buy a new android TV which is the TCL P715. Has anyone tried said model? I am curious as to how it performs versus my old Xiaomi Mi Box S plugged to my non-smart TV which I will replace. TIA

I doubt they'll use 905x Chip's on TV.. if they do it will be same but as i said i doubt it.
In general, it's best to treat the TV and its computer as separate, discrete things. The computer is advancing at substantially faster speed than the monitor (tv) and will be out of date and impinging on the usability of the TV long before the TV hardware is ready to be replaced.
Buy a great, not smart, tv. Buy a good device to make it smart. Keep the devices separate.
It will perform slightly worse. I have EP68, it has same soc as P715. Not worth it buying only for android, tv boxes perform better
