I have never manged to get it to work with Windows to either of my Sony Android televisions.
You can use any one of the below. For detailed instructions, just Google the steps 😉
• HDMI cable
• Use Connect app in Windows 10 to mirror over Wi-Fi
• Use Moonlight from Play Store (it's mainly for streaming PC games with Nvidia GPUs but casting desktop also works)
• Use Cast option in the new Edge or Chrome browser
