I used to be able to install apps to my Nvidia Shield TV thru the web version of the play store ( play.google.com ), but now neither of my devices are in my list of devices when I go into settings.
I have a couple Mi-boxes that appear in the list, but not my Nvidia Shield TVs.
Anyone else experiencing this?
It automatically hides devices it thinks aren't used anymore. I guess things you don't download new apps for? It happens to my tablets and shield all the time.
You're not alone. Both my 2017 and 2019 Shields were living happily in my devices list for the longest time, then my 2019 dropped out. I removed my Google account from the 2019 Shield, then re-signed in. The 2019 reappeared in the list, but the 2017 dropped out. Did the same on the 2017, then the 2019 dropped out again.
Wish I had a solution.
Use Aurora to install apps on the shield. You can masquerade as any device you want on the Play Store and avoid restrictions entirely.
Strangely enough, both my Shields (2015Pro & 2015NonPro) show up in play.google.com/settings and there is a 'visibility checkmark' in the settings column. You got those?
