Revamped & Better Prime Video App on Mi TV Stick

I personally own a Mi Box 4K (or Mi Box S). It's Prime Video is app is very outdated with very slow startup time, no smooth scrolling and thumbnails, and no profile switching options. The app isn't available on the Play Store hence hasn't received any updates till now. I was watching a YouTube review of Mi TV Stick and I noticed that it has a completely different and revamped Prime Video app. What is the reason behind this and is this app available for other Android TVs? Can anyone find the APK for this so that it can be side-loaded?

Amazon tries to undermine Android TV in every possible way.

So as a fan of Android TV platform I block them. Their apps since 2015 are garbages.

I need to see an overhauled app to believe them

You can find it as Prime Video TV on Aptoide Tv. You can also google it like "Amazon prime video googleplay apk".

Prime video must be the worst streaming app I tried.

My TCL tv has the same interface as your mibox where pausing a video takes like 10 seconds, has profiles, out of sync subs and performance is awful.

My mibox S has a different interface where seeking and selecting subs (on the player) is broken, performance is awful, no profiles, subs are synced and cast info appears everywhere when you pause a video.

That happens installing the same apk file on both devices. Looks like Amazon chooses what interface to show based on the client.

Also, why the hell it shows random content previews before a movie or episode starts?

you can sideload aptoide tv and try updating prime video from there. it might work

That's the same found on my Ematic Jetstream, it's available in the Play Store and it's been getting frequent updates lately.
