Hey everyone. I have a Hisense 50H8F which supports DolbyVision, but only in certain apps, like Netflix or built-in media player.
The problem is that I have some DolbyVision content elsewhere on the network, accessible through Windows folder sharing (SMB), which, in turn, is not supported by the built-in media player (it only supports DLNA).
So is there a way for me to play those DolbyVision files correctly on my TV over network via VLC or any other app that supports SMB?
I dont want to transfer the content to USB drive and stick it in the back of my TV to open it in the built-in app everytime I want to open DolbyVision content. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.
