App to control decibel output?

Question

I know it is a long shot, but I was wondering if there is an app to control the output volume of my Android TV?

When I watch shows, (on Netflix or Youtube), the volume fluctuates because the editor/director felt that I needed to hear really loud music all of a sudden..

So it would be great if there was an app that could control the decibel volume coming out of the app playing the sound.

Or maybe it is simply not that easy to manage/control?

Go into the actual TVs audio settings and there's usually something in there sometimes called auto volume or something like that. I've even seen it called nighttime mode. Turn that on and see if that helps. Also if you're just using the TV speakers you may want to try turning off any SRS or surround sound that's built into the TV and see if that helps. May take some trial and error. But you should find something that is at least tolerable.

That's an unfortunate side effect of downmixing 5.1 (surround sound) to stereo. Best way to fix it is get more speakers.
