Hey all, I'm looking into buying an android tv box of some sort. I'm hoping to attach an external hard drive (or 2) to it but I don't know which ones support 5 TB hard drives. I've heard the Shield can do it, but that box is a bit out of my price range. Are there any alternatives?
I would really stay away from the MiBox. I have one and it's slow, glitchy, and the support is non-existent. Just a piece of Chinese crap.
The Shield TV Pro is worth the extra money. The performance is outstanding and it's software is super fluid. Buying anything else is a compromise.
Also I would really recommend you set up a Plex server with your content. It's very easy and there are a bagillion videos for it.
