No problem with mine (TP-Link RE580D).
Most probably a crappy extender (less likely a setup issue). ISPs are notorious for providing cheap hardware.
Devices will have problem if you get enough signals from main router... Device will see 2 routers with same names. IF that's e issue you need to change the ssid of extender.
Why shouldn't it?
