Hey everyone,
I've got a Sony Bravia TV with AndroidTV built-in.
I have a Yonder.tv subscription to "mask" my geolocation, so that I can watch NHL and MLB games in my local market. Its always worked great with an AppleTV, trying to get it working now on an AndroidTV.
Basically, all I need to do is change the DNS settings. I can find where to change the DNS for a wireless connection, but I have a wired connection. I can't figure out how to change the DNS settings for a wired connection.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
I think this is something you could maybe do on your firewall / internet router, based on the IP of your TV? If your router supports it, that is.
I use pfsense on mine and it's possible to set up a VPN connection with its own DNS and then route traffic from internal hosts via the VPN. That might affect your streaming performance though.
Edit : an even easier way to do it on the router is to set up a static DHCP lease for your TV and set the DNS servers in there.
