I would like to program my google home to automatically start my tv and turn on a certain channel when I wake up or get home. The box I would like to buy is the Xaiomi mi box S.

Before I buy this, is it possible to control Iptv? I have been searching on the internet but haven't found a solution. There are some topics here on reddit saying it is not really possible but those topics are over a year old so perhaps there have been some changes
