Netflix freezing on Phillips TV - resolved by reinstalling TV

I've owned a Philips TV (65PUS8204/12) running AndroidTV for ~9 weeks. In the last couple of weeks, I noticed the picture was regularly freezing when watching the Netflix app. Sound was not disrupted, but the picture would freeze for about 1 second. Sometimes the picture would freeze for longer (~5 seconds) and the lip sync would go out.

I tried closing all other apps, but it didn't seem to make any improvement.

After running through the 'Reinstall TV' process, the problem seems to be gone.

Did you also face the app crashing and returning to home screen?

It may have defaulted to the factory image. Possible once any auto updates kicks in you may see this issue again. Take note of the current app version and see if it is different if it ever occurs again.

I have the same issues, predominantly with Netflix and iPlayer. Good to know it's not just me.
