Will the new Chromecast run Android TV? I still have nexus player and love it. As well as Chromecast, but both together would be amazing. Just give us a temote.

I don't understand what both would give you. Does the nexus not have Chromecast built in? I have a Mi box and a Chromecast ultra, and the Chromecast is completely redundant (it was a freebie).

That's the rumor, yeah.  The next Chromecast is, effectively, an Android TV device with Chromecast built-in.

I don't actually know what will happen. Google will mostly release an Android TV dongle (like mi tv stick) with a remote but I don't know if a Chromecast only device will exist

There should be a new Google Android TV device coming up, hopefully not waiting until Xmas. New mi stick is on gearbest right now with a shipping date of August 3rd, good specs.
