Does this work on Shield? Could you use the virtual mouse or iOS app instead of a physical mouse to get past the login?
Hopefully this means we'll be getting the Android TV app with Stadia controller support.
Yeah, I still have to use my phone to browse and "claim" games, then use a mouse to navigate the Android TV UI but once the games loaded works great with my 8bitdo.
I recently tried it with Chrome, worked pretty well with a modified Chromium APK. I will try this, but it probably won't be better than the Chromecast Ultra I got anyway. But for people without the Founders kit it may be nice
Why to bother since Google doesn't support from day 1 their super popular TV OS? I still using my GFN service. Maybe someday Google show some decency for Android TV users and stop pushing Chromecast Google cast. Clearly Google cast team internally has more power than Android TV team... I already pay $250 for Shield and $50 for Mi Boxes and GFN support them from day 1 and without the need of proprietary $70 controller or $90 Chromecast Ultra!
Old news, no controller support in UI yet?
