Hisense Android TV super slow?

by Apk07

I have a Hisense 43H6570F I got on sale from Best Buy a while ago and its just paaaaaaainfully slow and buggy. I love Android and Android TV but I can't figure out why it sucks so bad.

I've looked up a bunch of videos and guides on trying to change a bunch of the settings for optimal performance but nothing really helps.

Is there anything I can do that's more "extreme" like rooting it, custom firmware, a different launcher, or anything interesting like that?

How's the picture? I'm looking at that one to use with my Shield.

Yeah don't get Android powered TVs. At the moment none of the one really available is any good compared to the Android TV devices. They also age very poorly and rarely get updates.

I own the model 50H6570G and it sucks. Well it works good most of the time but sometimes it freezes and does not respond to any of the remote controller commands, not even on/off and input etc. I just contacted hisense I might just take it back to best buy and get some other model that is not smart tv and buy the new google tv dongle or firestick.

My 58" Hisense Android TV has also gradually gotten slower, and slower over time. Does anyone know if the TV can be set to power on to a Chromecast with Google TV plugged into the HDMI port, rather than powering on to the TV's home screen?
