Advice for a first purchase

by Vaudrain

I'm a little bit unsure when it comes to TV specs, so I figured I'd ask here for recommendations! I'm looking for an android TV for the living room that'll last me quite a while, ideally in the 50"-65" size range.

It will primarily be used for in-home 4k steam game streaming and switch gaming, with a few movies/shows on the side. Ideally I'm looking for a 4k TV with good HDR support/brightness and low input lag/response time. Good viewing angles would be preferred. 60Hz is fine, more is a bonus.

I'm happy to buy a separate soundbar/audio solution if needed, my main priority here is the capability of the display.

My upper budget is £1000, give or take, but I'm happy to consider higher prices if the features are appealing.

Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for an Android TV that will last a long time like you said, it would be better to buy a separate Android TV box and just buy a regular TV with the specs and qualities you want.

A Shield TV Pro will be the best box you can get and will continue to get updates for years. If you definitely want a built-in Android TV, then I will let others recommend as I have never gone that route.

Although I can't recommend an Android TV television because I haven't had one, I can recommend to check out the televisions section of the Android TV Guide , it may help you find what you need.
