Hello, I have stored several TV Shows on my google drive. Is there any way I can stream them on my Android TV via any external player?
Also, Can anyone please explain how the share folder option in Nova Player works or if that'd be of any use to me?

One way to do it is to install two apps to use together.
X-Plore which is a file manager. You can add your Google Drive account under Web Storage.
MX Player as the media player.
When you click on the file from your Google Drive in X-Plore you can choose to open it with MX Player.
you can cast right from gdrive.
You can also use Kodi, and install the GDrive add-on from Kodi repo, it's handy
