Hey Folks,

i finally got my first android tv. It is a refurbished TCL 50EP662. Hoever when i start it up on the botom left of the screen it flashes some system informations which i cant get rid off :(

Also it seems like i can somehow access some Factory Menu / Setting.

I have searched the internet but could not find any usefull informations On how to disable this output (left picture) I tryed to find a manual on how to do a hard factory reset. Holding the one button the tc has while connecting it to the power the tv starts into some kind of recovery mode but then says "no method selected" or something and then boots up normaly. A normal factory data reset did not help.

Does anyone have an idea what to do?

Thank you & kind regards
Joschi

Got a solution from the tcl support, here is what to do:

  • Press the menu button on the remote
  • go to picture
  • go to advanced
  • go to contrast
  • (without pressing ok) type 6425 on the remote
  • RESET ALL
  • RESET SHOP
  • Restart the TV and enter you data to personalize it again.

Kind regards

Here's how to bring up the service menu:

https://www.hardreset.info/devices/tcl/tcl-50ep662/service-mode/

What you want to do is set "SITA P mode" to off .

Turn off factory hotkey. Highlight that and press > right arrow on your remote.

Ahhhh crap I was too late. You formatted haha. Hey just so you know, you can enter this 'menu' by Settings menu > Picture > Advanced Settings > highlight Contrast > enter the code 1950. There are other codes to get you into other settings too.

If your tv doesnt have numpad or fast forward, you can use google remote to bring up the keyboard on your phone and type in the number. My keyboard button on remote control doesnt work. So yeah worked for me! Saved me from factory resetting the tv lol
