i use android tv remote and nvidea shield remote.. both heh
I've been curious whether the Nvidia Shield TV app works on other Android TV boxes. I only have a Shield so I can't try it on another box. It is a much better app than the Android TV remote app - has more functionality.

Try the one by MI for max compatibility, but even the one by Google works quite well for me. They're all known as Android TV Remote.
