Alternative to Xiaomi Mi Box S Android TV Box Recommendations

I recently picked up a Xiaomi Mi Box S to use as a replacement to the Roku I was using previously as I could hook it up to the internet via ethernet. Today I tried pairing my DualShock4 controller to the Mi Box to try out rainway as an alternative to my steam link, unfortunately it seems bluetooth is really screwed on the Mi Box so I'm looking for an alternative.

I'm not bothered about any super fancy expensive boxes. All I want is one that supports netflix @ 1080p or greater, has ethernet support (even if via a USB adapter) and supports the DualShock 4 under £75.

Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Try to find a Used shield tv 2015 model, 16gb. That box is a beast still today. Otherwise get a jetstream ematic box Agt419 model

You also might want to consider keeping the Mi Box S (since it's fairly well supported) and trying an Asus TV500BG as your gamepad... it was designed for and released concurrent with the original Nexus Player and works very well for emulation on my Mi Box S (all the way up to N64/PSOne). I picked both of mine up on eBay for under $20us, one used and one brand new.

I have a firestick and it supports ds4. Also has Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple + and Disney +... Also seen HBO (but hadn't add the apk in mine (for now)). 😉

I think You are going in a wrong direction,

Bluetooth is a bit complicated with Steamlink.

Why don't you connect your ds4 to the device steam is running off.

In my case I have ipega android joystick connected to Android TV and 3 ds4 sticks connected to surface pro 4 with Steamlink. Steamlink on Android TV shows 4 controllers.

Everything works fine, I don't see why wont you just connect your ds4 to the pc set it on steam controller settings via big picture mode and it will push over to MI box over Steamlink.

Edit: just noticed you want to move away from steam altogether. Still suggest you try the steam way
