Mobile Phone 5.1 playback?

Can Mobiles phones achieve 5.1 playback if used with a home theater receiver? If so, is it the phone that needs to support it or video player app? Or both? I have a spare Galaxy S10 iI would like to make use of in lieu of buying a TV box that allows for this. Anyone?

Yes because it's encoded into the audio track, even taking normal stereo left and right rca feeds and plugging them into an amp with a built-in decoder will play back 5.1 if it's in the original encoding.
