Let's talk about the new Google Android TV dongle

I love Android TV and I hate how some manufactures won't upgrade their sets. I'd prefer to have Android TV built-in but now, I can buy whatever TV I want and know Google will update these to newer versions longer than the other guys.

PS: I have an NVidia Shield Pro but to buy one for each TV set adds up. This thing Google is making is probably going to be half the price.

I'm not sure if there is going to be volume buttons or any way to turn off your TV (by the looks of that screenshot) but if it doesn't have that, it will be DOA for me. What are your thoughts?

Who knows, maybe the volume buttons are below what is being shown lol.

I'm looking forward to getting one. My 2015 ShieldTV is occasionally shutting down while in use.

With that new UI and no dedicated power button this is totally not gonna fly with my parents 😕

It has a mute button, pretty sure it will have volume up/down buttons.

I'm sure Google will ruin Android TV with those changes. That's all I'm going to say for now

Looks good. I have a 2019 Shield Pro, but I'll pick one of these up for travel.

Any talks about release date? Was going to buy a tivo stream 4k soon but might hold off if this is coming out soon

Any idea if this will have Bluetooth support? That's a must for me.
