These new slick remotes have reduced functionality a lot at the cost of minimalism. My mi box s remote and most other Android TV remotes as well lack so many buttons.

No mute. No separate play/pause, as some apps require you to press the centre button twice.

They should also provide rewind and fast forward buttons. Prime, Netflix, YouTube etc all have different rewind/fast forward interfaces. It is such a pain to remember all of them.

And I know that Netflix and prime video have deals with box manufacturers to have shortcuts buttons on the remotes, but having those classic red-green-blue-yellow buttons as programmable shortcuts would be cool.
