I always play Spotify on the shield and activate the screen saver for some sweet images.
I wish there was a hot key on the remote or a home screen shortcut.
Anyway to start the screen saver quicker than going to settings, blah, blah, start now?
EDIT This is not the shield subreddit... leaving it up anyway!
I went to Settings > Screen Saver > Stay Awake on Music and switched it to off and now my screensaver comes on after 5 mins when before it didn’t come on at all. This works for me casting audio from my iPhone.
Did you end up finding a solution to this?
Anyone figured out how to do this yet? I'm using button mapper but it's not a default option
So no simple solution for this, like a button or quick menu link in Actions?
I also tried Google Assistant but with no success, it just searches for youtube videos about starting screensavers :|
With Button Mapper you can do this.
